Gunnel Helmers

Gunnel Helmers is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Special Advisor and Acting Head of Staff at the Direktoratet for samfunnssikkerhet og beredskap (DSB) since April 2017. Prior to this role, Gunnel held the position of Head of Communications at the Direktoratet for nødkommunikasjon from February 2011 to April 2017. Gunnel also has a long tenure at Datatilsynet, where the role of Senior Adviser was held from April 1997 to February 2011. Gunnel holds a Cand.philol degree in Humanities with a focus on ICT and Social Economics from the University of Oslo, earned between August 1989 and June 1996.
