Roar Johansen

Roar Johansen is an experienced professional in the field of safety and leadership, currently serving as Fagdirektør at Direktoratet for samfunnssikkerhet og beredskap (DSB) since February 2020. Prior to this role, Roar Johansen held the position of Direktør at Norges brannskole and DSB from February 2011 to February 2020, and also worked as Senior rådgiver ledelsesutvikling og prosjektarbeid. Roar Johansen's career began in the Forsvaret, where leadership roles included Offiser in Hæren, serving as troppsjef, kompanisjef, sjef for operasjonssenter, and stabssjef from July 1983 to February 2011. Roar Johansen's expertise is further supported by previous experience as Personal- og organisasjonssjef at Sparebank 1 Nord-Norge from June 2003 to September 2005. Educational qualifications include attending Krigsskole II and Krigsskole I, as well as completing studies at Kristiansand Katedralskole and Justvik.
