Rana al Ghrairi

Rana Al Ghrairi has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and organizations. Rana currently holds the position of Director of Strategic Development at Diriyah Gate Development Authority, a role they have been in since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Director of Strategic Development at the same organization from July 2021 to July 2022. Before joining Diriyah Gate Development Authority, Rana worked at The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) for several years, starting in January 2011. Rana'sroles at GCC included being the Counselor - Head of the Americas Department from October 2016 to July 2019, the Head of Technical Cooperation & Organizations Department from October 2012 to October 2016, and a Desk Officer for the EU from January 2011 to October 2012. Rana also had a temporary secondment from GCC to the European External Action Service (EEAS) in March 2014. Additionally, they had a cooperative training experience at UNESCO in the External Relations & Cooperation Department in March 2009. Rana'searliest work experience was at King Fahad Medical City - KFMC, where they worked as a Supervisor in the Laboratory Information System from July 2006 to July 2007 and in Tenders and Vendor Relations from April 2005 to July 2006.

Rana Al Ghrairi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from King Saud University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2003. Rana later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Global Communications from The American University of Paris, completing it from 2007 to 2009. In 2015, they also participated in executive education for women leaders at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
