Gerid Adams

Gerid Adams is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology enablement and advocacy within the deaf and hard of hearing communities. Currently serving as the Technology Enablement Manager at CaptionCall by Sorenson since November 2012, Gerid focuses on building relationships with hearing healthcare providers and educators across West Michigan, the Upper Peninsula, and Northern Indiana. In addition to this role, Gerid is active in various capacities, including as a Test Pilot for Disability Advocates of Kent County, President of the Greater Grand Rapids Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America, and a member of the Advisory Council for the Michigan Department of Civil Rights' Division of Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing. Gerid's prior experience includes technical roles at Comcast Cable and Westech Systems, where significant contributions were made in system installation and management. Gerid holds a high school diploma from Mattawan High School and has furthered education at Grand Rapids Community College.
