Disability Rights North Carolina (DRNC) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonproﬁt charitable organization. We are North Carolina’s protection and advocacy system, dedicated to advancing and defending the rights of people with disabilities. 

DRNC works to achieve a just society where people with disabilities are free from discrimination and abuse. Our goal is a fully integrated and accessible community – where people with disabilities have power, equal opportunity, and freedom to make their own decisions.

The Legal Team at Disability Rights North Carolina (DRNC) is responsible for advocating and litigating on behalf of individuals with disabilities to protect their civil rights and ensure they are free from discrimination and abuse. This team of specialized attorneys and legal fellows engages in legal representation, strategic litigation, and policy advocacy to advance the inclusion, self-determination, and equal opportunity of people with disabilities, striving toward a fully integrated and accessible community.
