Jeebak Kim has worked in the software engineering field for over 20 years. From 2000 to 2005, they were the Lead Programmer at WireLily, where they designed and implemented database back ends to web pages, primarily using PHP and Perl to interface with MySQL and PostgreSQL database systems. Jeebak also had light Unix system administration duties such as evaluating and installing software packages. From 2005 to 2008, they worked at CD Baby as Digital Delivery Lead/Supervisor, where they were responsible for running weekly output of music for upload to partner companies such as iTunes, Napster and Rhapsody. Jeebak also coordinated encoding of all new music submissions to various digital formats and created, maintained and modified output and metadata (XML) creation scripts for digital distribution partners. Additionally, they served as a Customer Service Representative (Hostbaby.com) and provided email and phone support to web hosting customers. From 2013 to 2019, they worked at Metal Toad Media as a Software Engineer, where they implemented the "My Account" area client side AngularJS application, integrating it with the underlying Drupal site, and a 3rd party ticketing system. Jeebak also provided bug fixes, and maintenance for multiple client sites (Drupal, CakePHP, WordPress, ASP. NET, Laravel, Django etc. ). Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Discogs.

Jeebak Kim began their educational journey at Oregon State University, where they obtained a BS in Liberal Studies between 1988 and 1991. Jeebak then attended Portland Community College between 1995 and 1998, studying Computer Science. Finally, they attended Portland State University from 1998 to 2001, also studying Computer Science. In addition, they have obtained two certifications from Amazon Web Services: AWS Technical Professional in February 2018 and AWS Certified Developer - Associate in August 2018.
