Nick Potgieter

Nick Potgieter has extensive experience in the field of IT infrastructure and support. Nick is currently the Group Head of Infrastructure and Support at discoverIE Group plc. Prior to this, they worked at KFC UK & Ireland as an Infrastructure Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing the network, security, corporate applications, and data communication architecture. Before that, they served as an IT Manager at Burberry, where they managed retail IT technology standards and worked on various projects impacting global retail IT. Nick also worked as an IT Infrastructure Manager at Kurt Geiger, managing the IT environment and delivering infrastructure projects. Nick has experience in strategic IT initiatives and operations management from their role as an ICT Manager at the Film and Publication Board. Additionally, they have worked as an IT Manager at a KFC franchisee and as a LAN Administrator at Nedbank Limited.

Nick Potgieter attended the University of Johannesburg, where they completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology in 2004. In 2007, they also pursued studies in Risk Management at the University of Johannesburg. Additionally, in 2008, they obtained certifications in Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner from APM Group, as well as ITIL Foundation version 3 from the same institution.
