Matthew Makar

Matthew Makar possesses extensive experience in pastoral ministry, focusing on young adults and church leadership. Currently serving as Young Adults Pastor at Discovery Church since December 2022, Matthew previously held a similar role at Grace Community Church from October 2019 to November 2022, where significant growth in young adult worship service attendance was achieved. Matthew also directed the Emmaus Institute and oversaw a successful internship program. Prior experiences include teaching at the Sarasota House of Prayer and the Orlando House of Prayer, where curriculum development and mentoring were key responsibilities. An accomplished speaker and organizer, Matthew has been involved in various church planting initiatives and training programs. Matthew holds a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from The University of Alabama.
