Odile O'Sullivan

Odile O'Sullivan has extensive experience in the medical affairs and clinical research field. Odile currently holds the position of Head of Medical Affairs at Distalmotion since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Alcon as the Director of Medical Operations EMEA from January 2020 to December 2022, and as a Medical Affairs Manager from May 2018 to January 2020. Their responsibilities at Alcon included leading the execution of the IME and IIT program, optimizing processes, monitoring KPIs, and reporting.

Before joining Alcon, Odile worked at Medtronic for several years. Odile held the position of Medical Affairs Manager from May 2015 to April 2018, where they managed a portfolio of studies related to subcutaneous glucose sensor products. Additionally, Odile served as a Clinical Research Manager from September 2012 to May 2015, where they were responsible for hiring and developing new clinical team members, negotiating budgets, timelines, and deliverables with senior management, and providing expert analysis and interpretation of clinical data.

Earlier in their career, Odile worked as a Business Development Manager at Xytis Pharmaceuticals from October 2006 to December 2008. Odile also served as a Maître Assistant at the University of Geneva from May 2001 to September 2006 and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati from May 1998 to April 2001.

Odile O'Sullivan holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, which they obtained from Université de Lille, France, between 1994 and 1998. In 2009, they completed a European Course in Biobusiness Development at Universität Basel, Switzerland. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "Conducting Motivational 1-on-1 Reviews" from LinkedIn and "Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification" from Alcon, in the years 2022 and 2019 respectively.
