Derrick Christy

Derrick Christy has a long history of work experience in the financial and entertainment industries. Derrick began their career in 1994 as the Chief Executive Officer of Approved Mortgage Corporation, a full service lender providing residential mortgages. In 2000, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Distance Learning Systems, an institution that publishes tutorials and study guides for students. In 2004, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Ben Franklin Finance, a national financial services company offering tuition financing. In 2006, they took on the role of Managing Member of both Approved Credit Solutions, a leading provider of debt recovery services, and Horizon Property Group, which owns and manages retail shopping centers and Class A and Class B offices. In 2009, they became the Managing Member of Starlight Productions LLC, a production company in the music and motion picture industry. Finally, in 2013, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Ben Franklin Insurance and Investments, an insurance firm offering personal and commercial insurance products.

Derrick Christy is currently enrolled at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where they are studying Business. Derrick also holds a certification from the NMLS ID 134126.
