Renaud Bourassa

Renaud Bourassa is a seasoned technology professional currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Architect at Distributional since October 2023, focusing on the safety, reliability, and security of AI systems. Prior to this role, Renaud held the position of Staff Engineer at Stripe from November 2021 to September 2023, specializing in capital underwriting. Renaud's experience also includes significant contributions at Slack as a Staff Software Engineer, where work concentrated on search, autocomplete, and recommendations, as well as a prior role as Senior Software Engineer responsible for similar projects. Earlier in the career, Renaud was a Software Engineer at Google, contributing to location inference, and completed internships at notable companies including Microsoft, Bloomberg, Wish, and Facebook. Renaud holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo, has undertaken coursework towards a Master of Science in Computer Science at Stanford University, and completed the International Baccalaureate program at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf.
