Erum Mirza

Erum Mirza currently serves as General Counsel for the DC Bar, a position held since August 2020. Prior to this role, Erum held various positions at the CFP Board, including Assistant General Counsel and Compliance Counsel from February 2016 to November 2019. Erum's legal career includes roles as an Attorney at Potomac Law Group, PLLC from June 2011 to December 2013, and as an Associate at Arnold & Porter LLP from January 2007 to May 2011, as well as at Kaye Scholer LLP from October 2004 to December 2006. Previous law clerk experience was gained at the Chambers of Honorable Garrett E. Brown, Jr. from September 2003 to October 2004. Erum's educational background includes a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center (1999-2002) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University–New Brunswick (1994-1998).
