Mike Younie

Chief Administrative Officer at District of Mission

Mike Younie is an experienced administrative professional currently serving as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the City of Mission since December 2018. Prior to this role, Mike held multiple positions within the District of Mission from September 2006 to December 2018, including Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Director of Development Services, Deputy Director of Engineering, and Manager of Environmental Services. Mike's career also includes valuable experience at the BC Ministry of Environment from 1996 to 2006, where roles included Section Head for Government and Compliance in Environmental Protection, Section Head for the Forest Renewal Program, and Water Resource Specialist. Mike holds a Master of Science in Soil Physics with a focus on groundwater contamination and waste management from the University of Guelph, and a Bachelor of Science with honors in Geomorphology, Geography, Geology, and Soils from the University of British Columbia. Educational background also includes attendance at Lower Canada College from 1979 to 1983.
