James Arroyo

James Arroyo is an experienced leader in international relations and policy, currently serving as Director at the Ditchley Foundation since September 2016, where the focus is on stability, sustainable development, and human dignity. Previously, James held the role of Director at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from December 2012 to August 2016, where responsibilities included advancing policy and national security in the digital age. James's extensive career at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office also includes positions as Counsellor at the British Embassy in Paris, Head of Department, and First Secretary from 1992 to 2012. James Arroyo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Jesus College, Cambridge University, completed in 1989, and attended Loughborough Grammar School from 1979 to 1986.
