Tara Fitzgerald

Tara FitzGerald serves as the Head of Communications at the Ditchley Foundation since November 2023, where the focus is on addressing globalization challenges through collaboration among government, business, and technology. Previously, Tara has worked as a freelance writer and copy editor for various clients from 2014 to November 2023, offering editing and proofreading services across multiple industries. Tara has held academic positions as an Adjunct Writing Professor at Montclair State University and The New School, teaching courses on fiction and nonfiction writing while encouraging student engagement through diverse methods. As Managing Editor of Asymptote Journal and Nonfiction Editor for the Columbia Journal, Tara managed content production and fostered relationships with authors and contributors. Additionally, Tara has extensive experience in freelance writing for notable publications and editing for business and literary magazines. Educationally, Tara holds a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, an MFA in Creative Nonfiction and Literary Translation from Columbia University, and a Postgraduate Fellowship from Ecole normale supérieure.
