Brad Thavenet has extensive experience in emergency management and response, currently serving as a member of the FEMA/US&R National Incident Support Team since November 2016. In this role, Brad oversees ESF-9 resources and incident management to support various agencies. Additionally, as Program Manager for FEMA/US&R Nebraska Task Force 1, responsibilities include selection, training, and mobilization of the task force in line with the National Response Framework. Brad's experience also includes a long tenure as a Corporate Trainer with Dive Rescue International, where evaluation and instruction of emergency response organizations in water rescue and related areas are key activities. In Lincoln Fire and Rescue, Brad holds the position of Battalion Chief for Urban Search & Rescue, along with serving as Fire Captain and Firefighter, managing various response operations and training initiatives. Brad holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Finance from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
