Mara Gea

Mara Gea has extensive work experience in various roles related to water treatment and specialty chemicals. Mara is currently working as the Global Business Development Director for Water Treatment at Diversey since 2022. Prior to this, they held roles at Brenntag as the BU Manager for Iberia, Italy, and South Africa from 2018 to 2022. Mara also served as the Business Unit Manager for Water Treatment at Brenntag from 2018 to 2021. Before Brenntag, Gea worked at Solenis as the Area Manager for France from 2016 to 2019 and as the Area Manager for Western France in 2016. Mara also held the position of Sales Manager for Western Europe, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and CIS countries at BWA Water Additives from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, Gea worked as the Sales Manager for Iberia at Energy Recovery Inc from 2010 to 2012. Before that, they served as the Business Support Manager at Zeus Quimica, SA from 2008 to 2010, and as the Sales Development Manager for Southern Europe Industrial Water Management at CIBA ESPECIALIDADES QUIMICAS from 2004 to 2008. Their career started at IMCD, where they worked as Technical & Commercial Sales for Pharma and Water Treatment from 2000 to 2004, providing sales support and developing the market for specialty chemicals in Spain.

Mara Gea holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Sciences from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which they earned from 1993 to 1998. Mara then pursued a Master's degree in Executive M.B.A. from EAE Business School from 2002 to 2004. Following that, they completed a Postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Marketing from Universitat de Barcelona in the year 2004-2005. In 2008-2013, Mara Gea pursued other studies and obtained a Certificate in Advanced German Language from Escuela Oficial de Idiomas.
