Dr. Sönke Iwersen

David Shroads, DSc, CEM, serves as doctoral faculty, subject matter expert, course developer, and dissertation committee member at the College of Doctoral Studies, University of Phoenix since July 2008. As a commissioner and team chair for the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET since May 2013, David evaluates academic programs in Computer Science, Cyber Security, and related fields. Additionally, David has extensive teaching experience at various institutions, including Apollo Education Group, Western International University, and U.S. Navy College, while also holding accreditation and program leadership roles. David's career in emergency management spans over three decades, including service as an emergency manager and trainer with FEMA/DHS. With an educational background that includes a Doctorate of Science in Information Systems and Communications, David holds multiple certifications in emergency planning and management.
