Nicholas Lopez

Nicholas Lopez is an experienced Structural Engineer with a career spanning over 19 years in the engineering field. Currently serving as a Structural Engineer at Dorman Long Technology since June 2015, Nicholas has previously held positions at Aker Solutions / MH Wirth, Severfield-Reeve Structures, AMP Consultants, and Structural & Civil Consultants. Key responsibilities have included the full structural design of BOP handling equipment for semi-submersible drilling rigs, steelwork connection design for major urban developments such as 5 Broadgate in London, and the design of cold rolled modular construction. Nicholas's diverse project experience encompasses design work in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, utilizing both hand calculations and computer software. Nicholas graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Newcastle University in 2003.
