Milton Howell has extensive work experience in the field of taxation, spanning over several decades. Milton began their career as a Staff Accountant at Gassaway, Stone, House & Holland in 1988. Milton then moved on to Lowrimore, Warwick & Co and McGladrey & Pullen, where they served as a Tax Senior and Supervisor, respectively.
In 1994, Howell joined DMJPS PLLC, initially as a Partner and later as the Director of Tax Services. During their time at the firm, they played a key role in managing and overseeing tax-related matters.
Additionally, Howell has been actively involved in various professional organizations. Milton served as the Chair of the Taxation Committee at the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA) from 2007 to 2009, where they worked towards implementing fair and reasonable tax systems. Milton also held the position of Chair for the Tax Committee at CPAmerica International from 2007 to 2008.

Milton Howell obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSA) from the College of Business at East Carolina University, where they studied from 1985 to 1988. Milton also holds additional certifications, including the Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Finance and Accounting Professionals Certificate from AICPA, which they obtained in December 2019, and the US International Tax Core Concepts certification from AICPA, which was obtained in 2019.
