Ashley Dowell PE, RSP1 has a diverse work experience in the field of traffic engineering and research. They started their career at MI Engineering as an Engineering Technician, where they played a crucial role in completing as-built drawings for an irrigation project and design drawings for stream bank armoring.
Following this, they worked as a Research Assistant at Brigham Young University, where they collected data on intersection safety after signal installations and improvements. They also developed Crash Modification Factors using statistical methods.
Currently, Ashley works at Horrocks as an Associate Traffic Engineer II - ITS/Signals/Lighting. In this role, they have led the design of illumination and traffic signal systems for various roadway projects across multiple states. They have also conducted safety analyses, including historical crash reviews and predictive analyses for freeways.
