Andre Hong

Process Engineer at DNA Electronics

Andre Hong's work experience begins in 2016, where they worked as a Research Lab Assistant at UCSD Sirbuly Lab. In this role, they conducted research and optimization on piezoelectric polymer composite sensing devices. Andre also streamlined the device fabrication process and designed testing setups to analyze and optimize electrical measurements.

In 2018, Andre was an Undergraduate Researcher at the Nanoengineering Design Lab. Andre focused on studying silver nanostructures and their application in improving silver/gel interfaces in iontophoretic medical devices. Andre also performed synthesis and characterization of silver nanorods and nanoparticles and optimized the deposition techniques for applying nanostructures on silver contacts.

From 2017 to 2021, Andre worked at Diagnologix as a Process Development Engineer. Andre was responsible for developing a medical device using a novel cell isolation process for clinical use. Their duties included managing concept design, drafting, and fabrication of medical device prototypes using CAD software. Andre also established cGMP conditions during the scale-up development of a bioproduct manufacturing process.

Andre's most recent role is as a Process Engineer at DNA Electronics (DNAe) starting in 2021. Further details about this role are not provided.

Andre Hong completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Nanoengineering from UC San Diego, where they studied from 2015 to 2018. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution, from 2018 to 2019.
