Mengtian Zhang

Mengtian Zhang is an experienced design professional with a strong background in user experience and interface design, currently serving as Lead Designer at DNAnexus since August 2017. Mengtian has progressed through roles such as Senior UX Designer and UX/UI Designer, focusing on end-to-end user flows and high-fidelity visuals for scientific applications, while also defining UX standards and maintaining core platform user flows. Prior experience includes a contract role as Interaction Designer at Oracle, where Mengtian worked on innovation design projects and usability improvements, as well as an internship at JSTOR Labs, where Mengtian contributed to website development and user research. Earlier roles include a stint as a Reference Librarian intern at the National Library of China and as a Web/Graphic Designer at Wuhan University's Student Union. Mengtian holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Archival Science and English Language and Literature from Wuhan University.
