Abby Giljum

Abby Giljum has a diverse range of work experience in human resources management. Abby currently holds the position of Head of HR at DNO ASA since September 2022. Previously, they worked at Turner & Townsend, starting as a Human Resources Administrator at American Steel Treating in August 2003. Abby then progressed to roles such as Human Resources Manager at Riker Products Inc. from November 2005 to August 2010, and Human Resources Manager at Nama Mott MacDonald LLC from June 2010 to May 2011. Abby's experience also includes working as the HR Manager at Al Jaber Group from July 2011 to August 2012. Finally, at Turner & Townsend, Abby held various positions, including HR Manager, HR Associate Director, and HR Director for the Middle East, from August 2012 to August 2022. In their role at Turner & Townsend, they managed human resource activities in the UAE, Qatar, and Oman, overseeing various responsibilities such as performance reviews, employee engagement, training and development, recruitment, labor law compliance, and implementing group strategies and policies.

Abby Giljum holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management from The University of Toledo, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Prior to their university education, Abby attended Jesup W. Scott High School. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from SHRM in January 2009, and more recently, in July 2022, they became a Mental Health First Aider through The LightHouse Arabia.
