Lucas de Oliveira Menck

Lucas de Oliveira Menck's work experience includes roles at Dock, FinOps Foundation, and Conductor.

At Dock, they worked as a Cloud Analyst, responsible for managing cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS. Lucas automated infrastructure using IaaC (Terraform) and administered a hybrid environment with Linux and Windows operating systems. Lucas also created custom Roles and access groups to ensure the principle of least privilege (IAM). Additionally, they handled financial control and cloud consumption monitoring, implemented tagging standards for cost allocation strategies, optimized costs through Instance Reservation and resource optimization, and created dashboards using CloudHealth for cost supervision.

At FinOps Foundation, they served as a Community Member from September 2022 onwards.

At Conductor, they held the position of Cloud Infrastructure specialist from May 2020 to September 2021. In this role, they managed cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. Lucas also handled Cloud Cost Management with CloudHealth and provided troubleshooting support for Windows Server 2012 and 2016.

Lucas de Oliveira Menck has a diverse education history. In 2014, they attended Faculdade de Tecnologia Prof. Wilsom Roberto Ribeiro de Camargo (Fatec-TATUÍ), where they obtained a degree as a Technologist in Information Technology Management, specializing in Information Technology. Lucas pursued further education at EC English Language Centres Alumni in 2017, where they received a certification in Upper Intermediate English. In 2018, Lucas attended Centro Universitário Senac and pursued various short-term courses, including Introduction to Personnel Administration, Accounting, and Selling Skills and Sales Operations (Técnicas de Negociação).

More recently, from 2019 to 2021, Lucas attended FATEC Pref. Hirant Sanazar (FATEC Osasco) and completed a Graduation in Computer Network, focusing on System, Network, and LAN/WAN Management.

Alongside their academic pursuits, Lucas also obtained several certifications. In 2020, they received the Splunk 7.x Fundamentals certification from Splunk. In 2021, they became a Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals and a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate through training and assessments by Microsoft. In 2022, Lucas earned multiple certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Well-Architected Proficient, FOCP: FinOps Certified Practitioner, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Lucas also acquired two AWS Partner Accreditations: Technical and Cloud Economics.
