Rafael Faria MacEdo

Rafael Faria Macedo has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 with their role as an Analyst System SIE at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. In 2008, they joined Kyros Tecnologia as a Developer and stayed in this position until 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as an Analyst de Systems at TQI Consultoria, focusing on web development and web services using Java, Spring framework, and Oracle database.

In 2017, Rafael joined Zup Innovation, where they initially worked as a Software Developer, primarily using Java, Spring Boot, databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, and creating unit tests with Mockito. Rafael also gained experience in Big Data development, utilizing technologies such as Spark, Storm, Kafka, and Flume for data processing, enrichment, and transportation. Rafael also had exposure to Apache Camel, Spring Boot, and Redis for microservice development and caching. Later, they were promoted to Tech Lead.

Currently, Rafael works as a Tech Lead at Dock since 2023.

Rafael Faria Macedo completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - UFU between the years 2016 and 2022. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications. In March 2018, they earned a certification in Fundamentos Big Data. In April 2017, they received a certification in Treinamento Kanban (KMP I) from Aspercom. In August 2016, they completed a course on Orientação a Objetos com Java, for which they received a certification from Coursera Course Certificates. The institutions for the Fundamentos Big Data certification and the Orientação a Objetos com Java certification were not provided.
