Sergiu Gilca

Sergiu Gilca is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and technical leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Docler Holding Luxembourg since March 2021, Sergiu specializes in implementing backend applications and REST APIs using PHP and Symfony, as well as utilizing technologies such as RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, and Google Protobuf. Prior to this role, Sergiu was a Tech Lead and PHP Developer at Pentalog from December 2013 to March 2021, where responsibilities included proposing technical solutions, implementing event sourcing and CQRS architecture, and managing development environments with Docker and Kubernetes. Earlier career roles included Team Leader and PHP Developer at GT Solutions, and Web Developer at IT STUDIO. Sergiu holds a Master of Business Administration in Project Management from Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași and an Automatics Engineer degree from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași.
