Jacob Oommen Arikupuram

Jacob Oommen Arikupuram has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Jacob Oommen began their career in 2012 as an intern at Nonviolent Peaceforce, where they worked on administrative and financial tasks, prepared reports, and assisted the field team leader.

In 2013, Jacob worked as a research officer at Doctors for You and as a program officer at Grama Niketan, where they gained experience in research and program management.

From 2011 to 2013, Jacob worked as a student researcher at the Centre for Study of Political Violence, further developing their research skills.

In 2015, Jacob founded the Centre for Peacebuilding through Community Empowerment.

In the same year, they also joined Doctors for You as a senior program manager, responsible for overseeing programs and managing donor relations, HR, and administration.

Jacob Oommen Arikupuram began their education in 2006 at MGM Higher Secondary School, where they completed their Higher Secondary School education. Jacob Oommen then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Kerala from 2008 to 2011. Following their undergraduate studies, Jacob enrolled at the Jindal School of International Affairs from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Diplomacy, Law, and Business. In addition to their formal education, Jacob has obtained several certifications, including a post-graduate certificate on Health and Human Rights from the University of Mumbai and CEHAT in 2013. Most recently, they have acquired various certifications related to global emergencies, epidemics, and global health from renowned institutions such as Emory University, Yale University, and Harvard University.
