Patricia Campbell

Patricia Campbell is a Senior Research Fellow at The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity since July 2016, specializing in infectious diseases modeling with a strong mathematical background. Patricia has developed models for various diseases, including COVID-19, pertussis, respiratory syncytial virus, scabies, and group A Streptococcus. Previously, as a Research Fellow, Patricia focused on creating mathematical and computational models for infectious disease transmission and analyzing data to estimate related parameters. Prior to the current position, Patricia worked at the School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and managed operations at Centrelink from 1991 to 2005. Patricia holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Environmental Science from Monash University.
