Neela Sawant

Neela Sawant is a seasoned professional in the field of data science and machine learning research, currently serving as Senior Manager at Dolby Laboratories. Previously, Neela held multiple senior roles at Amazon, including Senior Applied Scientist for Alexa Speech and AWS AI, as well as Senior Research Scientist in Consumer Marketing Analytics. Neela contributed to academia as a Teaching Fellow at Penn State University, with a focus on the Engineering of Complex Software Systems, and gained early experience as a Research Intern at AT&T Labs, Inc., and as a Research Engineer at Yahoo! Labs. Neela earned a Ph.D. in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University and an M. Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
