Nick Lagopoulos

Nick Lagopoulos, PhD, serves as the Head of Research and Development at Dolprop Industries AB since January 2021, leading innovations such as a manual fin to replace oars and an electric outboard motor inspired by dolphin propulsion. Lagopoulos also contributes as a reviewer for the Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Cambridge University Press, since December 2021. Prior to these roles, significant research was conducted as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Southampton, focusing on oscillating foils and resulting in publications in prestigious scientific journals. Teaching experience included a role as a Teaching Assistant, facilitating undergraduate courses on key fluid mechanics topics. Earlier, Lagopoulos was an External Research Associate at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, working on aircraft design components. Educational qualifications include a PhD from the University of Southampton, a Master of Engineering from Duke University, and a Master of Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, alongside an undergraduate degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
