Jonathan Birnbaum

Jonathan Birnbaum is the current COO at Domain Money. Jonathan has also been a venture investor with Bells Ventures and NextGen Venture Partners. In their most recent role, they were the business lead and head of crypto at SoFi Invest. Jonathan has over 15 years of experience in the finance and investment industry.

Jonathan Birnbaum was born and raised in New York City. Jonathan graduated from the Wharton School of Business with a degree in Finance. After working in various finance roles, Jonathan decided to pursue their passion for investing by starting their own angel syndicate, Bells Ventures. Through Bells Ventures, Jonathan has helped invest in and grow numerous seed-stage startups. In 2015, Jonathan joined NextGen Venture Partners as a venture partner. In 2018, Jonathan left NextGen to join SoFi as the head of crypto for their retail investment platform, SoFi Invest.

Under Jonathan’s leadership, SoFi Invest has seen rapid growth in its crypto platform. Jonathan has been instrumental in setting the long-term roadmap for the business, driving expansion in trading capabilities and product features, and executing key initiatives such as strategic partnerships and investments. In 2019, Jonathan transitioned to their current role as COO of Domain Money. In this role, Jonathan is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business and ensuring that Domain Money remains a leading platform for investing in both stocks and cryptocurrencies.
