Engineering Director - Automotive OEM Product at Dometic

Ralf Richter has a diverse and extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Ralf is currently working as the Engineering Director for Automotive OEM Product at Dometic starting from June 2021. Prior to this, Ralf served as the Global Director of Controls & Electrical Engineering at Carlisle Fluid Technologies from March 2019 to February 2021.

Before joining Carlisle, Ralf worked as the Engineering Director for Thermal Systems at erae Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. from April 2015 to March 2019. At erae, they gained experience in designing and manufacturing thermal, engine, and drivetrain components for various global OEMs.

Ralf also has experience as a President and Owner of R2Tec Consult, LLC, a consulting company based in Michigan, USA, from February 2013 to March 2015. Ralf provided project support in engineering management, vendor development, critical project management, and operations management globally.

Previously, Ralf held multiple roles at Behr-Hella Thermocontrol Inc., including Chief Technical Officer (CTO) from September 2011 to February 2013, Operations Manager from February 2010 to August 2010, and Engineering Manager for Asia-Pacific from June 2006 to January 2010.

Additionally, Ralf served as the Electrical Engineering Manager at Air International US, Inc. from October 2003 to May 2006. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Engineering Manager at Behr-Hella Thermocontrol Inc. from April 2000 to September 2003 and as a Product Design Engineer (Electronics) at Hella Electronics Corporation from February 1997 to March 2000.

At the beginning of their career, Ralf was a Product Design Engineer (Electronics) at Hella KG Hueck & Co., Germany, from January 1991 to January 1997. Throughout their career, Ralf has gained valuable experience in automotive electronics, lighting components, HVAC systems, and engineering management.

Ralf Richter obtained their MSEE degree in Electrical Engineering from Rostock University in Germany. Ralf attended from 1985 to 1990.
