Silke Skytte Johannsen

Silke Skytte Johannsen has a diverse work experience in various roles. Silke started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Bristol, where they supported biology students and provided demonstrations in laboratory classes. Silke later worked as a Freshwater Biologist at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, conducting research on water quality and biodiversity. Silke then transitioned into the field of public health, working as a Public Health Intelligence Analyst at the South West Public Health Observatory and NHS South Gloucestershire. In these roles, they conducted data analysis and provided specialist advice on health intelligence issues. Silke also worked as a Senior Public Health Intelligence Analyst at Swindon Borough Council, focusing on analyzing and presenting public health and epidemiological data. Silke has a background in epidemiology, as they were a Research Associate at the University Heart Center, where they analyzed large population-based cohorts. Silke also has experience as a self-employed Epidemiologist. Most recently, Silke has worked at Domino's Pizza Deutschland and Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited, holding roles as a Business Intelligence Analyst and currently as a Data Scientist.

Silke Skytte Johannsen earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Freshwater Biology from the University of Bristol, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Freshwater Biology from Aarhus University, attending from 2002 to 2004. Silke obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Botany/Plant Biology from Aarhus University, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. Silke also received their Abitur, a qualification for university entrance, from the Bernhard Riemann Gymnasium, attending from 1988 to 1995.
