Richard Lane is an experienced broadcast engineer with a robust background in broadcast systems architecture and product development. Currently serving as Principal Broadcast Architect and Broadcast Engineering Lead at Domo Broadcast Systems since July 2018, Richard has successfully led the development of high-value motorsports onboard systems and cutting-edge contribution encoders and decoders. Previously, Richard co-owned Broadcast Wireless Systems Ltd, which was acquired by Domo Tactical Communications, where the engineering development of an Ultra-low latency HEVC/4K CODEC was achieved. With prior roles at Domo Tactical Communications and Cobham TCS Ltd, Richard has demonstrated expertise in product strategy for broadcast technologies, including the introduction of 4K HEVC wireless video solutions and Software Defined Radio platforms. Richard's early career included design engineering roles at NXP Semiconductors and educational qualifications from the University of Surrey, where a Master of Engineering in Electronic Engineering was earned.
