Philipp Buluschek

Philipp Buluschek is the current Chief Technology Officer at DomoHealth. Philipp has over fifteen years of experience in software development and management, with a focus on cloud-connected IoT and machine learning.

Buluschek began their career as a research assistant and PhD student at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, where they worked for six years before starting their own software development company, Buluschek Development. As the owner and software architect of Buluschek Development, they specialized in custom-tailored software solutions and consulted on managing software development. Philipp was also the main architect for a business critical embedded Java application.

In 2011, Buluschek joined Adhoco as Head of Research & Development. At Adhoco, they were responsible for agile management of software and hardware engineering teams in cloud-connected IoT, applying machine learning to building control optimization, improving energy consumption and comfort. Philipp successfully developed and deployed distributed embedded devices and cloud backends, and managed the company's IP portfolio.

Buluschek has been with DomoHealth since 2015, first as Vice President of Engineering before being promoted to Chief Technology Officer in 2019. In their current role, they are responsible forDomos product vision and technology strategy. Under their leadership, Domo has launched several successful products, including the Domo App Platform and Domo DNA.

Philipp Buluschek's educational career began with a Baccalauréat in Science from Cessrive. Philipp then went on to earn an M.Sc. in Physics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Finally, they earned a Ph.D. in Computational physics & nanotechnology also from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). In addition to their formal education, Philipp Buluschek has also earned certifications from Coursera in Principles of Reactive Programming, Functional Programming Principles in Scala, and Machine Learning.
