Tyler Buttars has a diverse range of work experience in instructional design and curriculum development. Tyler began their career at VitalSmarts as a Trainer Support Specialist Intern, where they provided support to newly-certified trainers and created custom content for presentations. Tyler then moved on to Brigham Young University as a Curriculum Development Intern, where they co-designed a course in Organizational Psychology, conducted literature reviews, and facilitated leadership exercises. Tyler later joined Verisk - insurance solutions as an Instructional Designer, where they developed various courses, including a web programming course and a software skills course, and created numerous learning materials for agile software departments. Currently, Tyler works at Domo, Inc. as an Instructional Designer, responsible for LMS administration, curriculum development, and e-learning design to meet the training needs of Domo University.

Tyler Buttars completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Social Psychology at Brigham Young University. Tyler also pursued further education at the same university, earning a Post-baccalaureate degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology. In terms of additional certifications, Tyler obtained a High Performance Mindset certification from Compete to Create in May 2021 and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from Verisk in July 2018.
