Hearing stories of her parents’ childhood in Guyana and seeing how they overcame their obstacles with the limited resources they had is a constant motivation for her to help bring DonorsChoose’s mission to life.

Prior to joining the team, Hema worked as a Relationship Associate for a financial software company in NYC. She's a graduate of Pace University with a B.A. in Biology.
