Marleen Smit

Marleen Smit has a diverse background in hospitality, event organization, and music spanning multiple roles and companies. Currently, Marleen works in hospitality at Wereldmuseum since April 2023. As a vinyl deejay for Miss Marylane since July 2016, Marleen specializes in spinning old-timey music from the 1960s and earlier, focusing on genres such as rock 'n' roll, rockabilly, soul, and more. Additionally, Marleen is a co-founder and organizer of Shindig!, a vinyl-only dance party celebrating the 50s and 60s in Nijmegen since July 2014. Previous experiences include roles in ticketing at Doornroosje and artist handling at Studio Linksvoor, along with social media and event facilitation responsibilities at Brebl. Marleen's educational background includes studies at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Pax Christi College, and Koning Willem 1 College.
