Usman Shahzad began their work experience as an Engineering Intern at Electro Dynamic Works in July 2015. Usman then worked as a Field Engineer and Solar Installer at Energy & Solar Solutions from August 2015 to December 2016, where they were responsible for installing solar PV systems and handling electrical wiring. From September 2017 to November 2018, Shahzad worked as a Project Engineer at EMCON ENGINEERING, primarily focusing on solar and wind projects. Usman then pursued their education and worked as a Graduate Student at Washington State University from January 2019 to December 2020. In 2021, Shahzad joined Wanzek Construction, Inc. as a Field Engineer II. Currently, they are working at Doosan GridTech as a Field Application Engineer, specializing in designing software and grid-scale energy storage systems in the renewable energy sector.
Usman Shahzad completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hamdard University, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Usman then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University Graduate School from 2019 to 2020. In addition to their academic qualifications, Usman Shahzad obtained several certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in September 2021, Stormwater One QCIS from StormwaterONE in June 2021, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in April 2021, and Adult First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross in February 2020.
