Timothy O'Leary has a diverse background in software engineering, with over 20 years of experience. Timothy started their career at Motorola in 2000, where they worked as a Software Engineer for the SIM team and later transitioned to developing for the iDen mobile system. In 2005, they joined Ericsson as a Software Engineer for a brief period before moving on to Pilz, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer. At Pilz, they developed IDEs and led a team for the PAS Multi programming language designed for controlling automated systems. In 2018, Timothy joined Forcepoint as a Senior Software Development Engineer and later took on the role of Principal Software developer. Timothy played a key role in designing and developing the Forcepoint NEO endpoint, which supports CASB, DLP, PA, and SWG platforms. Timothy also contributed to the documentation for R&D tax credits. Currently, Timothy works at dope.security as the Head Of Endpoint Engineering, leading an international team in building a high-quality Endpoint for Mac and Windows.
Timothy O'Leary obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computing from Waterford Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed a Certificate in Computing from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, in December 2016, they obtained a certification as a Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org.
