Dr. Shane Robbins serves as the Superintendent for Dorchester School District 2 since June 2022 and holds a distinguished military career as a Colonel and Medical Service Corps Officer in the US Army since November 1987, including command of the 803rd Hospital Center. Prior to the current role, Dr. Robbins was the Superintendent for Kershaw County School District (June 2018 - June 2022), Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation (July 2015 - June 2018), NORTHWESTERN CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT OF SHELBY COUNTY (July 2012 - June 2015), and MONROE CENTRAL SCHOOL CORP (June 2008 - August 2012), all while managing day-to-day operations and strategic planning. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Principal at Huntington North High School (July 2006 - July 2008) and Principal at Madison-Grant Jr./Sr. High School (July 2005 - July 2006). Dr. Robbins holds multiple advanced degrees from Ball State University and a bachelor's degree from Franklin College, highlighting a robust educational background in educational leadership and administration.
