Ricky Hansen

Ricky Hansen has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Ricky is currently the Head of Operations at Dorian LPG, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, Ricky worked at Ultragas ApS for almost a decade, where they held the role of Senior Operations Manager. In this position, they oversaw the building-up of the in-house commercial management desk for Ultragas Handy size semi-ref. Gas Carriers and managed the delivery of new vessels while phasing out older ones. Before joining Ultragas ApS, Ricky worked as a School Teacher at Baunehøj Efterskole, from January 2009 to June 2012. Ricky's extensive experience in the industry also includes working at A.P. Møller - Mærsk - Maersk Gas Carriers / Maersk Tankers as the General Manager Operations, where they led the operations team for the Skandigas lpg pool and managed the commercial operations of the fleet. Ricky started their career at A.P. Moller - Maersk, where they worked as a Deck Officer on various types of vessels, including Gas Carriers, Product Tankers, Container, and Platform Supply vessels. Ricky initially joined as a Deck Cadet and later advanced to the role of Deck Officer.

Ricky Hansen's education history includes completing a Mini MBA program in Strategy, Leadership, Customer focus, and Change management at Prof. Anthony Hourihan in 2017. Prior to that, they attended Copenhagen Business School from 1997 to 1998, where they pursued Merkonom Enkeltfag (Academy Profession level) with a focus on Organization, Internal Accounting, Labor Law, Logistics, and Transportation. Ricky Hansen also holds a Master Mariner degree from Svendborg Navigations Skole, which they attained from 1991 to 1993.
