Prior to that, they earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the same university between 1998 and 2002.

In addition to their academic achievements, Cole has obtained several certifications. In 2012, they became a Certified Forensic Interviewer from Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates and completed training in Advanced Reid interviewing from John E. Reid & Associates, Inc.
