Ian McKenna

Ian McKenna has a wealth of work experience, beginning with their role as a Software Developer for an Independent Software Developer in 2004. Ian then went on to become an Undergraduate Research Assistant and University Scholars Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Florida in 2003. In 2005, they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Northwestern University, followed by a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of British Columbia in 2010. From 2011-2022, they held various roles at MathWorks, including Senior Application Engineer, Financial Services, Principal Application Engineer, Financial Services and Model Risk Management, and Application Engineer, Financial Services. Currently, they are the Director of Field Engineering at dotData.

Ian McKenna obtained a B.S in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida in 2005, followed by a Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University in 2010. In 2016, they obtained an Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management Bootcamp certification from ARPM - Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management.
