Mergel Takam

Mergel Takam has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Research Assistant Professor at the Institut pour la Gouvernance en Afrique Centrale, where they analyzed governance issues in the Central Africa region and provided support to local CSOs and partners.

In 2013, they served as an Assistant Lecturer at KOICA World Friends, and in 2014, they became the Overseas Manager at Pacific Asset Advisors Plus.

From 2015 to 2016, Mergel Takam worked as a Research Professor at Hanyang University, and in 2016, they joined KOTRA as a Business Consultant.

In 2017, they became a Teaching Assistant Professor at SUNY Korea, and the following year, they were appointed as a Global Business Development Manager at Ntsys. During their time at Ntsys, they also worked as a Research Analyst.

In 2021, they joined Korea IT Consulting as a Senior Information Technology Consultant, where they worked until 2022.

Currently, Mergel Takam serves as the Senior Manager at Dot Inc., where they have been instrumental in driving the expansion of Dot's mission to include the transportation vulnerable and the mass public by leveraging their handicap-overcoming technology. In 2023, they will assume the role of Director of Market Development at Dot Inc.

Mergel Takam holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General, which was obtained from Hanyang University between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, Mergel completed a Master's Degree in Project Management at Catholic University of Central Africa from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, Mergel obtained a Master en Management des Projets degree in Sciences sociales from Université Catholique d'Afrique Centrale during the same period. Before pursuing master's degrees, Mergel completed a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences at Université Catholique d'Afrique Centrale from 2003 to 2006. Furthermore, Mergel received a High School Diploma in French Language and Literature from College Libermann between 2000 and 2003.

In terms of additional certifications, Mergel Takam completed several courses on Coursera. These include Statistical Inference in December 2021, Exploratory Data Analysis in July 2021 and an unspecified instance of Exploratory Data Analysis. Mergel also obtained certifications in Getting and Cleaning Data in December 2020, R Programming in November 2020, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox in August 2020. The institution providing these certifications is Coursera.
