Rebeca Sanchez Sarmiento

Rebeca Sanchez Sarmiento is the current Chief Financial Officer at Dotmatics. Rebeca has also served as the Chief Financial Officer at InvestCloud, Inc. from January 2019 to August 2021. At InvestCloud, they were responsible for leading a team of ~55 across finance and accounting, human resources, and legal.

Some of their key milestones while at InvestCloud include successfully orchestrating a $1bn recapitalization by Motive Partners and Clearlake Capital, as well as a simultaneous three-way merger – which nearly tripled the Company overnight – without Investment Banking representation. Rebeca also oversaw the integration and global consolidation of six separate accounting ERP solutions, four HRIS platforms, as well as multiple regional payroll providers and banking relationships.

In addition, they established a consolidated global back-office operating model to 1) effectively scale and support the demands of a fast-growing organization and 2) institute proper governance and controls to accelerate IPO readiness. Rebeca also developed a comprehensive global tax planning and compliance strategy which included remedying sales and use tax deficiencies, defining a flexible transfer pricing strategy, rationalizing legal entity structure, and introducing proper SOX controls and standing up internal audit.

Sanchez Sarmiento has also raised several million dollars via direct private placements and negotiated alternative SaaS/ARR debt facilities to support M&A and/or reinvestment without hindering growth. Rebeca has completed a 3-year audit, including the retrospective adoption of ASC 606, three PPAs and two capital raises. Furthermore, they have supervised the regular negotiations and due diligence efforts associated with M&A activity. Lastly, they have continuously mentored and developed the professional and operational maturation of staff.

Rebeca Sanchez Sarmiento obtained both their MBA in Finance and Accounting and their BS in International Business & Economics from well-renowned business schools - The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and NYU Stern School of Business, respectively.
