Richard Moir

Richard Moir has extensive work experience in the field of product and technology in the bioinformatics industry. Richard is currently working as the Director of Product and Technology, Bioinformatics at Dotmatics since April 2019. In this role, they oversee product direction, technology choices, and development processes for bioinformatics applications. Richard is also responsible for system administration and security officer duties in the Dotmatics New Zealand office.

Prior to their current position, Richard worked at Biomatters for 14 years. During their time there, they held various roles including Director of Product and Technology, Senior Product Manager, Product Manager, Development Team Leader, and Java Developer. These roles showcase their technical expertise and growth within the company.

Richard Moir attended The University of Auckland from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Bioinformatics. Richard also obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in June 2011.
