Venkatesh Muthukrishnan

Venkatesh Muthukrishnan is a seasoned professional in cheminformatics and software engineering, currently serving as a Cheminformatics Developer at Dotmatics since September 2022 and as a Co-Founder at Rising Candle Ltd since January 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics from December 2020 to August 2022, as well as an extensive tenure at the European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI from August 2011 to December 2020, where responsibilities included full stack development and open source project improvements for ChEBI. Initial experience includes an internship at ChEBI focused on enhancing the visualization of chemical data and an Operations Executive position at Enviro Care India Pvt Ltd, ensuring water quality compliance with pollution standards. Venkatesh holds a Master’s degree in Cheminformatics from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
