Varun Rajan

Varun Rajan is currently the Manager of Data Scientists at Dots. Varun has held this position since March of 2020 and their team is responsible for product and user acquisition analytics. Prior to their current role, Rajan served as the Director of Data at Dia&Co from October 2016 to January 2020 where they managed a team of 10 analysts serving merchandise, operations, and finance stakeholders. In 2016, Rajan was a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science where they developed the Opinionator, an interactive web app that predicts the success of any opinion piece. Rajan has a wealth of experience in data science and machine learning and has demonstrated their ability to lead and manage teams of data professionals.

Varun Rajan earned their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University. Varun then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science from UC Santa Barbara.
